I have a new iPod Nano 16gb and I want to keep the backlighting on I like to see what song is playing. I can't seem to locate the option like on previous iPods am I able to do that?

Some new news on the iMac. I got a mini vga to vga adapter today to plug into an external monitor and i get nothing. Nothing on the iMac display and nothing on external display when turned on. What does this mean?

Got one! The Best Buy in Gatineau was showing online stock this afternoon. Called to confirm, found out they only had the 1 unit and then drove over ASAP. The exact model I wanted too... 64GB Black Wi-Fi only.

Can't comment on the RX 600, but I bought a 785EPX about 18 months ago. I've found that unless you use it pretty regularly (i.e. every few days) then you have to go through a cleaning cycle to unclog the jets. This coupled with the expensive nature of the (5 color) cartridges makes for expensive running costs. If I were to buy again I would go for a printer with seperate ink cartridges, and probably a Canon.

I've recently noticed- some iLife apps are not working. The biggest concern is iPhoto - I've opened up iPhoto '11 (iLife 11) but it says:

However, and here's the catch - iDVD, iMovie, working. Just a couple apps are not working (I can't check every single one for compatibility). Is this a universal problem? How do I fix it? I have iLife '10 and '09 if that helps but I haven't checked if they work. Either way, I would like to use iLife '11 over either older versions... Thanks!

So would it be accurate to say that if the CD-ROM was authored with Flash as an executable then it would be harder to extract individual assets (i.e., videos, images & PDFs)? But then again, what would prevent the infringer from just copying over the whole disc? Right?

So I have a Rev C. 667 powerbook and it won't boot up when I press the power button?
Any thoughts on this before I make a trip to the Apple store.....(oh, and its a work computer and they didn't get AppleCare - stupid I know, but I wasn't paying for it.....)

I've been trying to load a pwnagetool cooked version of the iPad 4.3 GM, but whenever I try to actually load the firmware via itunes I get an error 1 that pops up as soon as the white apple logo appears on the iPad. This is both in recovery mode and DFU mode. I've tried this with both windows and mac version of the program with no success. Can anyone shed any light? I also tried pwn'd dfu mode with iREB and get the same result.

I have two internet connections here, one via GBit-Ethernet to my Mac Mini and a slower one connected to my WiFi router. I just bought a wireless printer, thus I need to connect the Mini to the WiFi to print.
I think this is not explicitly specified, but which connection will be used to route to the internet? It would be unfortunate to use the WiFi, as it's about 5 times slower.
Can I set the wired connection to be default for all connections, and route only the traffic that really has to go into the WiFi? All that comes to mind at the moment is removing the gateway/router address.
Better ideas?
i take it your taking static routes you could bond them together but thats hard and kinda pointlesss id get rid of the dsl conection stick the gige line into the router bridge that to wifi and wire in the pc/mac to the same router done

Just get a 25ft Cat5 cable and you'll be set.
I don't think you really need to drop 130 bucks to go wireless in a 12' x 12' room.

So I'm looking into a new iMac and my budget is 1500 so I'm wonder whether to get the 2.5 ghz and get some ram from OWC or just go with the 2.7 ghz please help me decide
