You should be able to buy heatsink gel at any serious computer store (not best buy, et al). Please be forewarned, I've never personally done that, but I know that stuff is out there.

Ill be going to the Apple store at the Falls. Even though the At&t store is close by but I have a feeling a lot of people will be going there to activate their phones for the first time.

I have acquired an iMac g4 700 with only a cd drive. I would like to install Tiger via a retail DVD. Can I place the DVD in another machine and install via FireWire?

I too have been using Mactubes, and it works better than the in-browser flash player, but I can't seem to get quicktime to work.

I started doing it because I have my iMac on all the time...actually, I started folding on my PowerBook G4 running at 667 MHz...not a lot of productivity, but it helped.
I'm excited to get my MacBook Pro (probably this week) and start on it...although the F@H website does not have an Intel version yet.

Premiere will use the other cores, but for me i'd rather 4/6 cores with a higher clock speed and the matrox compressHD card, than a more expensive 8/12 core machine, with lower clock speed and no budget left for the compress card.
I understand. I'm honestly thinking of purchasing an iMac (after the refresh). I'll add the maximum amount of Ram (or atleast 16GB) and get the best processor from the Apple Website. I think that will be the best option for me. If I become unhappy, I'll sell my iMac or return it within the 30 Day Mark.

I deleted my time machine preferences and started from scratch (full reset as its called). It backed up last night and then this morning it reported that the disk was full. It was more of an alert than an error. I said OK and started the next backup and it failed, same error. I've got 641GB of free space on the disk! My backup set is large but it should only be backing up the changes so it shouldn't be bombing out. Nothing on my computer changed over night (or sure as hell not 641GB worth of changes!

The only thing i would worry about is if Nintendo pulls a M$ and when/if they release online games that they won't let you online because you modified your hardware.

Currently, I think that the XBox 360 is better. Nothing can beat Gears of War. Well, perhaps Rainbow Six Vagas. Both are using Unreal Engine 3. I think that the year that the 360 had gave devs time to figure out what was going on. This is why the 360 prolly looks better. I don't think that we will ever see a huge difference till the end life of the consoles. That's when we will see what's going on.
Except that Unreal 3 Engine is going to be on PS3 too, so once again, they'll be about the same.

I have just completed some work for a drinks company, just their standard desktop which will be rolled out across europe and south africa. I originally done it as a favor. But they said they would pay me.
how ever...they said id have to set up my own company etc etc...Just wondering if any of you guys have done the same thing? And have any suggestions about what to call myself? etc etc

My apologies for being vague, but I too are not sure about your setup as well. So bare with the directions.
Open WireTap, select preferences;
File saving setting: select the desktop.
Recording file settings: QuickTime Player
Sound Compression settings: None, 44.1kHz, 16bit, stereo.
This should set up your files for import.
Open iTunes. Select add to library and add all your desired files. Make a new playlist. Add all the newly imported files and burn.
*Make sure your discs are compatible. Make sure your time length doesn't exceed the capacity of the disc. If this stuff doesn't work, read everything possible to broaden your computer skills. That's what I do. Cheers! Bmode.

Does anyone know "if" or when a refresh for Time Capsule 1T is coming out? It has been some time now, and I have read users have had issues with it.
Some users have had their hard drives go out, losing their data after about 1.5 years of use. :confused: It is in multiple feedback entries on Apple's Store site...
Any thoughts? I would like to purchase one, but I am reconsidering...would like some advise. Thanks
