    Flash can crash too if you trace a bitmap and put the minimum area and color threshold values very small. It takes forever to trace 'em. And if you start doing something it crashes. :)
    In 3dsmax the polygon count is what makes the computer slow and crash. On this picture I have a 6924 faces and everythings fine. But when it reaches 20000 it's very slow.

    Filing I-140 petition on your behalf signifies immigrant intent. So if you travel outside, you could potentially be denied entry.

    The safer option would be wait till your I-140 gets approved, if your PD becomes current, filed I-485. If the PD is not current, seek 3yr H-1B COS under the AC 21 provisions.

    This is a situation with my friend that I am posting under my name...


    Questions are mostly related to regarding EAD situation
    1. My friend is on H1 and have EAD (June'07 filer) for both him and his spouse... his spouse (secondary aplicant) is currently working on her EAD.. If his company lays him off... Would his wife have any effect on her employment?
    2. Could he renew my EAD/AP on my own with no employer support (despite he has no job)
    3. What if he goes to India on AP (or otherwise).. would that have effect on his wife's EAD/employment? If he goes to India on AP.. for how long could he go?
    4. Could he take up any job and keep switching till priority date becomes current? Also what happens if and when priority date becomes current?

    My EB-3 labor PD is 02/2007, my I-140 is stuck-up in NSC for more than one year now.

    Considering the present trend, I decided to move on to EB-2. I pressurized my employer to file for another PERM for EB-2 which they are now reluctantly doing. Let me see what happens :rolleyes:

    Consular processing itself will happen when date is currentl. However, there is a form that your friend can fill out (which basically moves I 140 from USCIS to another agency which I think is called National visa/benefit center, which in turn sends it to consular post once the date is current.

    In other words, your friend will have to get out of 485 line and ask for I 140 to be put in another line (for consular processing) and wait for PD to become current.

    During this entire time, the prospective employer should have empty position for the candidate and good faith intention to hire him permanently once he gets is GC. Also, they may send RFE to employer to explain how will he manage for next several years before your friend can join the firm. As long as prospective employer answers all these to their satisfaction, your friend can still get his GC once his PD becomes current (via consular processing).

    I also called the number 202-224-7703. The lady told me that, it is scheduled for hearing this fall and we can check on Website judiciary.senate.gov . She said, usually they post the date, 1 week before the hearing in the committee. She is also told that, she is going to pass on the message for hearing, to the senators.

    umm....isnt fall already over?
    This bill was introduced last congress too...nothing happened.
    Don't get yr hopes up too high.

    I would like to stay in the project through a difference vendor because it is stable for quite long time and I am expecting to be there for next 3 yrs.

    I am worried because this Noncompete is between my employer and his next layer. The final layer is client and I will be working for the same client through a NEW vendor.

    That is another risk of AC21. Remember that AC21 is just a rule and can be changed anytime. For example, the current AC21 rule is not requiring proof of ability to pay of the new employer. What if in the future they change the rules of the game and you are in the middle of it, you found out that your new employer is not cooperating regarding sending documents, etc.

    Darn, am I stupid or what? I felt am I just chicken or am I just being wise?

    Probable change in AC21 rules are these additional requirements:

    1. New employer's ability to pay
    2. New LC for the same occupation

    The more we talk of using AC21 even before 180 days, the more USCIS will suspect of fraud.
