We were experiencing some sluggishness yesterday and briefly took the front page down in order to reboot the server right at the time you reported the downtime. That seemed to have perked things up, but obviously we want to avoid having to reboot things. :)

Just an update. I received my Otterbox Defender in the mail this morning and I love it. I am so confident in the case that when showing it of to a friend, I purposefully slammed it against a marble floor from a 6 feet height and I picked it up and there was not a single scratch on the case.
I have big hands so the naked iPhone 4 is to small for me but the otterbox defender makes the phone just the right size for my hands to fit around, so that is a major plus for me.
I think I'm going to be using this case for a while, probably until I upgrade phones.

I disagree Zarathustra, the Prismo looks like a basic looking laptop to me. The powerbook Ti has a very distinctive look and the images show very clearly* that its a powerbook ti

The thing with the loophole is, even the AT&T employees do it. Nobody cares and they won't do anything when you upgrade. All that matters is that you are grandfathered into it.

Well, I'm now running a 6040, so not exactly stellar points wise, but better than the 6701:
TPF: 15 min 43 s

This is really just an experiment for the mpb - Once I decide on which SSD to get it will become my main home machine.
What is slightly concerning is that the CPU is at 85 C, but the heatsink temperatures are at 45 and 46 C. That really does suggest that the thermal paste isn't doing it's job of letting the heat move to the heatsink.
I'm trying to resist the urge to redo it with some AS5 to see if I can drop the CPU temp, but for normal (non folding!) use I can't see it being a problem.
hmm. do we have any numbers for other machines folding the same units? i would like to see how it stacks up to an i7 920 at stock speeds.

ITASOR, the lines you see when you put other LCDs on the wrong refresh rate: do they _really_ look like the alternate 1 pixel wide static horizontal lines on the PBs?
I only ask, because the PBs also show a variety of wider horizontal "interference" banding and wavy dynamic diagonal banding in some colours, which is worse in the top left of the screen. And I wonder if this is what you refer to.

Ive actually had decent results with the GoPro as far as a cheap camera goes. With your above requests that camera would suffice. However I wouldnt use it for ENG, Docs (well maybe as B-roll) or anything thatll need low-light.
Now of your budget is over 1k then we can talk better cameras ;)
Currently testing a Sony PMW-F3. Its the new Sony HD camera that can handle all kinds of lenses (PL yada yada).
We generally use the high-end stuff here at work e.g. RED MX but at times we have to purchase and assess lower end cameras for other depts.
If you need something to be safe around or in water, you cant go wrong with the GoPro. It impresses me more every time I use it. It isn't the most user friendly, but "bang for your buck" is, IMO, off the chart.
Ive been playing with one for a little over a month and it does some awesome stuff. Since I've had it I have seen them on TV several times, from Mythbusters to racing shows, to bizarre foods, to a new one about the bike couriers in NYC.
I have a GoPro as we speak. I will use that camera right away but need to familiarize myself with the hardware.
My only issue with that camera choice was the inability to replay the footage and see what needs to be shot over or the ability to play it back over a TV or similar.
I have the GoPro HD.
Is there a way to use the camera without the fish-eye lens? Everything I see with with the fish-eye look which is not preferable in my case.

I could see the close or even possibly an overwrite happening. At the same time, that is kinda what I want to be able to detect with one of the cases mentioned above.
It's a compiled-from-source version of PHP 5.3.5.
I could be wrong, but I think the function is only intended to be used to determine if the server itself has closed the connection for a timeout.
I don't think it works for connections which you have explicitly closed yourself, as that connection effectively doesn't exist anymore.

While the 3D thing might not interest you, the 3DS is much more powerful than the current DSi, meaning much better graphic capabilities. So if you ever want to play anything other than Pokemon Black in the next couple of years you should wait for the 3DS.
If you're not really interested in gaming on the DS or doing anything other than Pokemon Black go ahead and save some money buying the DSi.

Cisco have owned this trademark for years. Apple were in negotiations to buy it, but for whatever reason they couldn't close the deal in time. Apple should therefore have not announced that the product was going to be called iPhone at the keynote.
Doing so before the deal was done was a big mistake. Cisco can now triple the price for the name and Apple either have to pay or look humiliated.
Apple can throw as many lawyers as they like at it now, but that name is still Cisco's property. Last time I looked, Cisco could afford a big legal team of their own. They can't be bullied here.
