That will make it the ultimate presentation tool with a huge halo effect on corporate, education and domestic markets:
1. Make presentation on Mac or PC with Keynote or Powerpoint.
2. Save the presentation to the iPhone.
3. Use the iPhone as a wireless computerless presentation remote.

I don't think any presentation features would be enought to cause any halo effect in the corporate market. Features that *could* cause a halo effect, on the other hand, are:
- Using the iPhone as high-speed wireless modem, over Bluetooth (2.0 or even a new version), or Wi-Fi (maybe can enable "Internet Sharing" on phone)
- Powerful email/messaging client to compete with Blackberry. They wouldn't really be competing with Blackberry, but they might strip away a few users that decide the email client is "good enough" and would like to have their iPod and phone in the same device...
- Smartphone.

- Wireless

On the way to the store, we called a few people and they all wanted one. We ended up buying five 16 GB ones at $321 otd each..cleaned out the entire inventory at that store. The store threw in 5 basic covers for free which used to sell for $10 a piece.

I would love to see either a 13" MBP or a 13" MB with the option for discrete graphics, though a lower quality card (e.g. Rad X1300/1400 compared to the MBP Rad X1600). My preference would be for the 13" MBP as I prefer the compactness of the 13" form factor but would use the ExpressCard slot (for a modem and ESATA card interchangeably)--yes, I live in BFE :( and have no access to high-speed connections--and I don't see Apple offering a MB with an ExpressCard slot AND discrete graphics. I would pay around 1700 or so for such a set-up, which would be about right in light of the pricing for the MBP 15"

I doubt the next MBA will have a backlit keyboard for several reasons including the power consumption that it would take and the less battery life it would mean. Also it was stated that it is a key feature on the Pro and they need a reason for it to seem "Pro". Who would choose a thicker/heavier computer if you could get the thinner lighter computer with the same features? Minus the optical drive of course.
The argument of Sandy Bridge making up for the GPU is more or less not true and like always it depends on what the computer is used for. CPU intensive applications? Its an upgrade. Gaming? Its a downgrade. Light surfing? No change.
And if one person comments on "Gaming on MBA? lol" get over it. People like myself enjoy playing games on business trips and on the sofa. My 11 ultimate runs WoW like a Pro. (Pun intended)

I was running through matches this past weekend, and nearly all my settings were medium, and 2d portrait. Using the dedicated graphics card (low end model with 256MB).
It ran fairly well for a beta, I had a few crashes but not graphics related. Upon starting up SC2 the opening menu is choppy, but the game is extremely playable. And even more so if you were to set your settings on low.
Either way it will be exciting come July 27.
(I'm planning on getting the new mac pro, and boosting the graphics, and game it out!):cool:
Great news. BTW, Late "Late '08 Unibody" doesn't have dedicated graphics card ... the graphics cores are apart of the south-bridge & a MOBO integrated piece so to speak. Still that's great news - how is the heat running.

Their success is based on IBM's failure to realise how important that market would become. They have not built their success off of making good products.
And Microsoft Windows Server ? really ? Is it successful because I have to install 30 of those to run a simple SSO db like AD whereas I can run eDirectory off of 3 Sun boxes and achieve the same results with about 100 times more objects in the directory ?
But this story is about a guy who manages data center, not about Microsoft's rise to power and their illegal moves to remain at the top for years. And their data center seems to have been top notch, since you rarely hear of Windows update not working or Microsoft.com being down, or MSN messenger not responding or Hotmail.com being on the fritz.

seriously just shut ur pretty faces with the tired backlit keyboard anthem. this is like the least desirable feature esp since it has a direct impact on battery life.
Backlit keyboard is a nice aesthetic feature for many. It's also extremely useful for those of us who type while looking at the keyboard and tend to do a lot of traveling at night/underground. Plus, since all iterations of the keyboard have user-controlled brightness levels, the argument against it as a power sink fail. In my opinion, and as someone who really wants a backlit keyboard, the best argument against the feature is that it has the potential to increase the price to maintain such a large margin.
The TDP of the C2D and 320M combined is about 25W, I believe. The i5 2357m is a 1.4GHz proc with the HD3000 core and a TDP of 18W. By including this as the base processor, the battery life would inherently improve (without increasing the size of the battery), but a little bit of internal space would open up where the 320M was. This could be used for an SDHC card on the 11", or increased battery, or maybe an additional USB port. My wish would be to bump the base speed of the i5 up to 1.6GHz or even 1.8GHz and maintain a TDP of 25W.
A larger screen and/or thinner bezel would be nice, but I'd settle for coloring the darn thing black (without the weight of the glass over the screen). The bezel on my MacBook Pro is fantastic in comparison; I find the silver distracting.
A 2lb 11" Air with an i5 proc at 1.8GHz, a 256GB SSD, backlighting, 8+ hour battery-life, and a starting price of $100 less (dream on, I know), and there is no way I could keep myself from buying one.

Where the Fit excels is its interior volume. It is seriously like the Tardis in its ability to betray its small appearance on the outside with its actual capacity inside. For example, I have filled it with a family of four's luggage and knick-knacks for a week-long trip, with room to spare.
Mileage is as advertised, mostly high-20's squirting around town, nearer to high-30's with the cruise set for hours at highway speeds. I don't have the knowledge to compare it to the Prius, but I will say that the Fit's interior fit-and-finish, while well-detailed and more than adequate, is "cheaper" than the Prius, and maybe even my old Civic's.
While it won't win many drag races, it is a fun runabout, as it's probably the shortest wheelbase car I've ever owned. Meaning, it "hops" over bumps and sneezes will put you in the adjacent lane. I haven't driven a Mini Cooper, but I suspect the sensations are similar.
I'd buy one again in a heartbeat.

I was worried about the Fit being too small inside, but then with cars like the Mini Cooper S model, you can get a roomy car if designed correctly. I saw a big, tall, fat guy step out of an S and he told me that the S model was made people his size. I am no skinny person, but certainly not the size of that guy. I was amazed and the S model has intrigued me ever since.

In actuality the new 1.25ghz Dual G4 is the 3rd fastest consumer PC in the market. It almost matches the fastest AMD processor and is just slightly behind Intels PIV 2.8 ghz machine. As Donald Trump tries to leverage his brand with a reality-show campaign for president, surging to the top of the 2012 GOP polls, the past is coming back to bite him. The media establishment has been treating him more as colorful sideshow than serious candidate. But now that it seems The Donald might actually run, it�s time to take a closer look at the darker corners of his empire.
Take John Robbins. When the retired Army officer heard Trump, in a music-filled tent, talk of putting up the tallest building in Tampa, Florida, he wanted in��because of the Trump name.� But Robbins lost half his $150,000 down payment when the condo project went bankrupt and was �floored� to learn that Trump had merely licensed his gold-plated moniker: �I just don�t see Trump fitting the role of commander in chief. Somebody has to stand up to Mr. Trump.�
Hamed Hoshyarsar invested $54,000 in a condo at the Trump Ocean Resort Baja for one reason: He was a fan of The Apprentice. He lost every dime when the project was never built. �I want to throw up every time I see him,� says the Los Angeles accountant. �I see all these people talking about him being president, and I would never vote for that guy.� Trump, who exudes a blustery charm, doesn�t miss a beat. �What about the 50 deals that worked out great�are you going to cover that, too?� he asks me. Let the record show he has built some fabulous properties�but has also filed for corporate bankruptcy four times, most recently with his casino unit. �I do play with the bankruptcy laws�they�re very good for me� as a way of cutting debt, Trump says.
He says he�s not responsible in lawsuits over the two failed condo projects because his partners were the actual builders�and, his attorney says, such confidential licensing agreements are standard. Besides, says Trump, the buyers are �lucky� because they would have lost more money in a tanking market had the projects been built.
Another venture, Trump University, had to change its name after New York authorities ruled it wasn�t properly licensed; the school is also under scrutiny in Texas, where officials are examining possibly deceptive practices. Interesting thought though. His rejection said it was for ridiculing public figures, but their policy rejects defamatory material. There is certainly a fine line, but the line most certainly exists. You can ridicule someone till the cows come home without engaging in defamation. The distinction is probably too difficult for anyone without extensive legal background to make on a regular basis and in a timely manner.
Apple should just drop the defamation clause, which may be difficult for them to do to.

The distinction is probably too difficult for anyone without extensive legal background to make on a regular basis and in a timely manner.
Apple should just drop the defamation clause, which may be difficult for them to do to.

I'll be at the Bridlington O2 Shop (probably going to be the only one). My O2 signals always been great here but I guess Brid is a lot flatter than Scarb.

Im a Systems Engineer who *get ready for it* has an iPad. :eek:
But yes, of course iPad owner's use it for normal fun stuff...nobody codes on their iPad (cause ya cant), and I only know one person who uses it as a primary business machine...hes got one of the bluetoothe keyboard cases. LMFAO, we just tell him, "ya know, thats what we call a laptop"
