If I am going to hook up my Xbox 360 with HD DVD drive up to a 1080p TV, which will look better: VGA or HDMI? The reason I am asking this is because I want to know whether to go for the Premium or the Elite, seeing as I don't like the black color of the Elite and don't think that I'll fill up the 20GB hard drive in the premium. Does VGA look just as good as HDMI? Because then I think I'm just going to go for the premium. Or are the rumors true, and will the Elite, once it sells a certain number, have its price cut and become white again?

Firt find the specs for your USB turntable. If it is only doin 44K and 16-bits there is no point saving as 24-bits and 96K. Save the data at the naticve bit depth and sample rate.
As for format, any lossless format will do as will uncompressed WAV. Save your archive that way but you may wantothe compress to ssmall files for use with iTunes and your iPod.

Yes, this is most disapointing. I have been wanting this app on my iPad ever since I got one. This is even more glaring since you can't even access Apple's own MobileMe site from the iPad - which is another rant entirely. :mad:

I know a lot of people are worried about not receiving their copy by the 26th, though - as am I.
Guess we'll see, but I have confidence Apple can manage to mail a disc in time. I'm just wondering if they are planning on overnighting them or trying to time it out via slower mail. Overnighting probably wouldn't be that expensive for them with their quantity discount and for such small packages. At least I have the benefit of being in major city, a couple miles from the airport, and within walking distance of the distribution centers for USPS, UPS and FedEx. :)

The word "New" is all over this ebay listing. I see that in the top area it shows refurb, but this listing seems to be a little misleading. One of your headings even says "Brand New." This combined with using an actual iPhone box that didnt come with this item seems shady to me. I may be the only one, but honestly i guarentee that who ever wins this item thinks they are getting an actual brand new phone, not a refurbished product.
At this price I will just buy a brand new one and upgrade them :)

The power support screen protectors seem to cover edge to edge.

An exascale, or extreme-scale, computer is expected to be a thousand times faster than a petascale system. "All of these things are dependent on funding," Dongarra said in an interview. "This will happen if the funding is in place for those machines."

I'll be sure to buy a desktop 100 petaflop Mac so I can read my email much faster than I can now. :D

I will be going there right after work, which ends @ 5. Should be able to get to the Mall by 5:30 and have my 30 minutes of standing in line! haha

i spilled vine in mine and took everything apart and dipped in alcohol 95% or more(motherboard and keyboard and fan) and cleaned it with a toothbrush ,let it dry and put it back, is been 4 months now and everything works fine.

The speed boost over OS X is somewhere between threefold and fourfold for the involved functions.
� I boot into 9 to scan. I have two scanners, both decently good, neither with OS X drivers available. The Umax Astra slide scanner was noted as having very good color values for the price, and the price was low due in part to lack of OS X drivers. The old flatbed, a Umax 630, is a 3-pass SCSI scanner that will probably still be humming along nicely when MacOS 10.9 is becoming obsolete.

I Timbuktu into the older one to handle a chore that it does better (under MacOS 8.6, mind you, not even 9) than OS X does on the fastest machines in the shop: opening up folders on a mounted server folder that are chock-full of huge TIFF and Photoshop images, and copying selected files to a folder from a different mounted server volume also chock-full of huge TIFF and Photoshop images. OS X thinks its doing me a favor by trying to conjure up and display a thumbnail of each image based on actual file content. OS 9 doesn't do that (only displays the little classic-mac custom icons generated by Photoshop, if present), enabling an eleven-year-old PowerMac 7100 with a 300 MHz G3 accelerator and 10-base-T networking to do this task as well as dual-G5 Macs with gigabit ethernet...and blow my OS X PowerBook completely out of the water.
Don't knock OS 9. It certainly had its shortcomings (especially with regards to memory, oy vey) but it also had a great deal of sophistication �€�? lots of little things that had started off great or evolved to greatness. It was the best all-around small computer operating system of the 20th Century. I'd still use it over XP, or the first few iterations of OS X.

Well, I used the official documentation for the first aluminum 15" PB (which is what I have). It says to use a "dentist pick" to undo the clip. An allen wrench works fine, as long as you don't drop it into the optical drive like I did :rolleyes:
