Ok..., but can you tell me how they are approving cses for PD EB3'2003 or Any EB3 cases daily, when EB3 is 'U', do you have answer for this.
Since ther is plenty of approval going on everyday.
They are not following any PD for the last 3-months approval, I don't believe any rule they have.Now they are already under pressure , and the pressure started already.They have to clean up.I don't think they will wait untill next year June, since Election is on Sept'2008.

Regardless of the incorrect forum to tell about yourself, your story has serious flaws.
you are just telling us your side of a photoshopped story.
Even after you are here illegally, you can correct things and take a legal turn. there are so many cases where people who have overstayed or crossed over illegally, got themselves deported and or brought themselves out of the closet and applied and got their citizenships.
Also, bcos you spent 30 years in the country, you should be given a priority over a kid from your country who kept applying for a green card lottery every year, trying to enter the US legally?
to make matters worse, you stayed illegally in a country and did not follow the rule of law.
1. I am beyond the �waiting for my delayed Green-Card� and �attempting to correct my ilegal status� stage. I am not new to immigration, I�m true to immigration.
2. I am no longer fighting for my rights. I�m OK. I�m in my own country with all rights available to me and am offered a Waiver by the U.S. to visit my friends, family and loved ones when I want. Today I�m fighting for my USC Immediate Relatives� rights from my country. How many of you high&mighty can say that? Probably never will too. You�d have to walk in my shoes and from my view none of you except for 24ps can fit them, though sledge_hammer might have to learn how to walk in them. He/she sounds a lot like me in my smug and cocky drug peddling and trafficking days. Clue, sledge_hammer: The key to expertise does not lie in what you do but in how you do it. I think Meera Shankar needs to be fired. Its bloody 2010 and this is the kind of customer service the indian consulates provide - they dont pick up calls - it takes them a month to issue new passports - Always feel ashamed to be an indian any time I have to deal with these useless consulates.
The Houston consulate does not even have their address properly listed on their website.

o Nothing materially and noticeably. A minor nuisance out of the way.
- What did you do on the day you received it?
o Was glad but no celebration.
- How did the long wait upset your life?
o Yes for a while. But the entire episode changed my outlook and showed me a different perspective. After being frustrated for a while I realized I should not called myself �skilled� if I cannot navigate the rather simple green card mess. People are successful despite extraordinary physical handicaps and here I was restraining myself under the simple excuse of GC. I realized that I had to and could create oppurtunities for myself, without GC and without being in the US. Fortunately at that very time I got my EAD (June 2007). I gave myself a hard limit of 1 year and if GC did not materialize in a year I would ditch the effort and move to plan B. By april this year I began taking steps towards a change of job. My prospective job title was going were different but I was willing to risk the GC. Now I was wishing I should not get a GC since I would need to shelve plan B for 6 months. And suddenly on May 1st I got the GC, just when I did not want it!

o Tremendously. When GC was important to me, it gave me a platform where I could act to make a change. I haven�t been active but just contributed a couple of hundred dollars to the cause.

Seems like everyone losing hope including core - as someone else said above its really sad to see this. Please dont lose hope at this critical moment else all of our efforts for last two years will go waste.
I cant imagine how much time/effort has been put into this effort by core members (as a relatively inactive member I myself could have easily spent several hundred hours on these forums in last year and half; and atleast some time in calling/faxing etc.). After all these efforts and seeing the current bill its understandable to get deeply disappointed. But dont lose hope yet. Its not over.

All of us were also thinking that we are in a better position to introduce and enact amendments in this congress. We still have time (2 weeks) for amendments - why are we thinking about alternate arrangements and slowly losing hope. Does this show our level of confidence now or this thread is meant for some light hearted fun?

everyone has to go thru namecheck process. Once during greencard process and once again during citizenship process. (if and when you apply for citizenship.)
To find out about namecheck, you can call USCIS and if you get an officer on the line (not the cust service representative ), then you can find out.
You can also find out about the status of your namecheck with infopass appointment. That will take up some of your time.

Its a small good news. I got similar status update last year sometime in Aug/Sept before my I-485 was finally approved around end of Sept '08. My case was originally filed at CSC and then was transferred to NSC. I got this message when NSC finally picked up my transferred case, dusted it off and (I'm guessing) input it in their system. Most likely your cases went the similar route and now they have been finally picked up by the destination center for processing.

I'm done. I posted whatever I had on WhiteHouse.gov and wrote to my Senator. I think the strength is in numbers - so the effectiveness of this depends on the number of people that write in - Even if people dont include their personal stories, just the fact that you will include your address when you write to your senator makes it personal. Just my 2 cents!!!

I know before you start blaming me for this thread, as it is of no use, I would like to point out that most of you must be experiencing the same thing. I didn't care much for Visa bulletin until it became current for EB2 two weeks back. As the time progress, I am doing all sorts of things, like checking USCIS case status, and checking everything that can possibly give me some information. I know that it is waste of time, I know it is not good for health, I know that I will get GC when time comes, but still, my mind is tricking me to think about it. I checked all these forums until 2A.M last night. I am not having enough sleep. I am waiting for a opportunity to get rid of my desi employer. I am really getting frustrated (I am not saying that I have been waiting for GC approval desperately). I just want to share my frustration and what I have been going through. I know I am in a better position than most of other people whose priority date is not even current. I wish they never dangled a carrot in front of me. I am not sure if they disappoint me next month, but I am still keeping my hopes. Hopefully, I would get over this and have enough sleep from today.

Yes might be but Labor cert is not being part of list of docx that need to be attached even if ur 140 is pending as if you would have included I-140 receipt notice but in your case it seems better u do it rather feel sorry . But refiling in many normal cases wont help much unless if there is an issue in it.
I would not re-submit only for EVL, but it is important you review your entire AOS application set that went out to USCIS.
I reviewed the photocopies of our AOS applications and found a few omissions e.g. not including
1. EVL
2. pending I-140 receipt notice
3. Labor cert approval which would clearly show the priority date-- instead they put a wrong priority date in the covering letter.
I decided it is a higher risk to rely on such a messed up application!
Hence, I am working to re-submit our AOS. I asked that I review the entire application in advance this time around:) Thanks IV... I have come a long way because of YOU!
BTW a small issue I found on my family's AOS applications:
For my dependants... in Part (2) Application Type, I think we should check (b) my spouse or parent applied for....
it is currently (a) an immigrant petition giving me....
It was also (a) in their first set of AOS applications
Am I right in saying the checkbox to be selected is (b) not (a)?
